Funimation Licenses North American "When They Cry" Releases

A day I have been looking forward to for a while, Funimation has relicensed Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's North American release, or "When They Cry." The previous licensee, Geneon, went under and was forced to drop all of it's series'. As a result, the volumes following vol.3 were put on indefinite hiatus and were presumed to never have an official North American release, and the already released DVDs went out of print and are now extremely rare. Musubi File.03

The cover for Musubi File.03 has been released. This time it is none other than Satoko! I really like how most of the covers show a similar trend... Anyway, it contains episodes 17 and 18 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, with of course extras! It will be on sale 5/23. You can also get the limited edition version with Box. Higurashi Kai - Musubi File.01 Cover and info released!

The cover for the next Higurashi dvd - musubi 1's cover has been revealed to the public. This DVD contains episodes 13-14 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai.
