Higurashi Fair: The Real-Life Watanagashi

A Higurashi fair will be held on May 31st to June 29th. It will be themed after Watanagashi (Cotton Drifting), for a real-life Watanagashi festival. To catch the atmosphere, it will also extend to a shrine that is to be named "Furude Shrine" for the days the fair is going on. It will hold mainly at the Animate headquarters in Ikebukuro. 30-minute special on Christmas Eve

According to this report from Animate, a 30-minute special for the upcoming Higurashi live-action movie will air Monday, December 24th on Sun TV. The movie itself will be directed by Ataru Oikawa and will star Gouki Maeda (Keiichi) and Rin Asuka (Mion). A Spring 2008 release date for theaters has been set.
