Sites Famitsu and Dengeki Online have offered an exclusive first look on the Higurashi l
ive-action movie due for theatres later in 2008, which is still undergoing some filming on location at Shinto shrine in Nagano Prefecture, Takatomachi. Pictures include Director Ataru Oikawa as well as the cast, Goki Maeda (Keiichi), Airi Matsuyama (Rena), Rin Asuka (Mion), Aika (Rika), and Erena Ono (Satoko). Ryukishi07, the creator and writer of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni revealed that he will have a cameo appearance in the film as well.
