Rika and Hanyuu Character CD

The Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai Character CD 1 has been released! It features Yui Horie(Hanyuu) and Yukari Takari(Rika) singing two new songs, "Nanodesu / 「なのです☆」" and "S-A-G-A~rinne no hate ni / 「S・A・G・A～輪廻の果てに～」". This is the first of 3 currently announced Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai character CDs that are in line for release. Behind the Scenes of Higurashi movie

Sites Famitsu and Dengeki Online have offered an exclusive first look on the Higurashi live-action movie due for theatres later in 2008, which is still undergoing some filming on location at Shinto shrine in Nagano Prefecture, Takatomachi. Pictures include Director Ataru Oikawa as well as the cast, Goki Maeda (Keiichi), Airi Matsuyama (Rena), Rin Asuka (Mion), Aika (Rika), and Erena Ono (Satoko). Ryukishi07, the creator and writer of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni revealed that he will have a cameo appearance in the film as well.

"Dodge Rena's super-high-speed punch! 'Renapan' is brought to i-mode"

Taito has released the minigame 'Renapan', originally for the PC, for i-mode cellphones. They're planning to release another version in late August that will go on to support online rankings. Higurashi Movie 30 Minute Special

The Higurashi Movie special aired recently.It special includes interviews with the cast and director of the movie, and premieres Eiko Shimamiya's new song, "Wheel of Fortune". It shows many clips of the movie, as well as short interviews with each of the main actors and actresses. Currently there is no subbed version of this special, but even if you do not speak Japanese I'd recommend watching it anyway. I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I did!

Higurashi Movie Trailer; Season 3 Announcement!

A trailer for the Higurashi movie has been put up at the official site. You can see a few of the actors and actresses here, too. The set is amazing so far! And.. you can hear the song playing, right? If you haven't noticed, miss Shimamiya will be singing for the movie as well! You can watch the trailer below. Aside from that, I've also got some other news. It appears that there will be a third season for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. There are multiple sources stating this from reliable places but it's still a great surprise! The amount of episodes as well as the exact date it will air is still unsure, but that doesn't affect the impact of this news! Please keep coming back for more info, I'll be sure to update you with everything! Also, as a side note, the final episode of Kai has been released already, but no subs yet. Wait a little longer! 30-minute special on Christmas Eve

According to this report from Animate, a 30-minute special for the upcoming Higurashi live-action movie will air Monday, December 24th on Sun TV. The movie itself will be directed by Ataru Oikawa and will star Gouki Maeda (Keiichi) and Rin Asuka (Mion). A Spring 2008 release date for theaters has been set.
